Zossen

In bright sunshine or on cloudy days - Zossen, which is over 700 years old, has plenty of variety to offer.

The town - located between the flair of the capital and the idyllic Spreewald forest - is particularly popular for its recreational surroundings with its many bathing lakes, all of which have excellent water quality. Whether Wünsdorfer or Motzener See - the waters and their lidos, such as the one in Kallinchen, are true oases of peace. On the other hand, those who like to be sporty and active are in good hands at the Horstfelde water ski park or can take a tour on a bicycle trolley along disused railroad tracks.

Zossen offers even more than cool water, nature and extensive pine forests. For example, all kinds of historical gems in the town center, such as the market square, lime shaft kilns, castle ruins and castle playground or the town park with water play area and rose garden! The colorful half-timbered house at Kirchplatz 7, in the immediate vicinity of the imposing Holy Trinity Church, is strikingly beautiful. This is not only the address of the gallery café, which serves tasty treats for the palate and eyes, but also of the municipal gallery and the school museum with its historic classroom. The bunker and book town of Wünsdorf offers a completely different kind of past. Here, visitors will find many testimonies to the site's almost hundred years of military history in three museums. The underground bunker tours in the former "Forbidden City" are particularly popular.
