The Berlin-Leipzig cycle path with a total length of approx. 250 km runs mostly on asphalt cycle paths. However, the path also leads along low-traffic state roads and cycle paths accompanying federal roads. On unpaved sections, you should be prepared for forests in the Dübener Heide Nature Park. Particularly well passable are the route sections on the very well developed Fläming Skate.
Now and then a little more traffic is to be expected, for example on the section between Bad Düben and Leipzig. Between Zossen and Mahlow, the route leads on a roadside cycle path along the busy B 96.
All in all, the bike path Berlin-Leipzig offers a varied and eventful ride, which can be managed both comfortably in several daily stages, as well as with the fast bike on a weekend.
