Tornau wooden sculpture meadow
The wooden sculpture meadow is one of the jewels of the Düben Heath. New creations are created every year as part of the "Art with Chainsaws" wood sculpture competition.
In the mid-1990s, the heath artist Köppe held workshops on the subject of wood sculptures with international participation. The workshops developed into the international wood sculpture competition "Art with Chainsaws", which is held annually on the last weekend in July on the wood sculpture meadow. The sculptures produced there remain on the meadow or are set up in the nature park. This is how a sculpture meadow has gradually developed in the heath village of Tornau.
