Large louse pond
The Great Lausiger Pond is part of the "Lausiger Teiche und Ausreißer-Teich" nature reserve in the Düben Heath Nature Park.
The ponds, which were created in the Middle Ages and used for fish farming, are fed by ditches from the Düebenr Heath and drained towards the Elbe via other ditches.
The combination of the nature reserve, the fish farming that still takes place today and the permission to swim makes the lake a special feature.
There is a campsite and motorhome port directly on the Großer Lausiger Teich.
