Graduation house in Bad Schmiedeberg

Graduation house Bad Schmiedeberg

The new graduation tower at the swan pond on the spa grounds in Bad Schmiedeberg immediately catches the eye.

Moor, healing water and radon have long been used as remedies in the Eisenmoorbad. Recently, however, another natural element has been added: salt. This brings Bad Schmiedeberg a little bit closer to the sea - at least at the graduation house, where breathing in the salty air brings relief to people with respiratory diseases in particular.

Even if the building is not as large as other graduation towers in Germany. But it is 31.5 meters long and 5.5 meters high. The salty water trickles over blackthorn brushwood, is collected and fed back into the water cycle.
