Cyclist in front of Jüterbog town hall

Jüterbog

World history was written in this more than 1,000-year-old town, situated in the middle of the idyllic headwaters of the Nuthe.

Imposing buildings, art treasures and exhibitions still bear witness to the importance of the city as a former metropolis in the Middle Ages.

Enjoy and experience the Fläming town on one of the guided city tours with the night watchman, for example, or go on an individual tour by bike or inline skates. On foot, you can follow in the footsteps of the "Spitzbuben" on the hiking trail of the same name or immerse yourself in the history of the military town of Jüterbog II. The children's museum "Mitmach-Mittelalter" in the monks' monastery attracts the youngest visitors, the older ones the Zinna monastery with the monastery distillery of the popular herbal liqueur "Zinnaer Klosterbruder". The "European Route of Brick Gothic" also includes the former Franciscan monastery, the Nikolai Church and the second oldest town hall in Brandenburg as important buildings from this style-defining era alongside the Zinna Monastery.
